Personnel Leasing in Eastern Europe

Temporary work or agency work is not only possible within the borders of Germany, but also as cross-border labour leasing. This applies to all member states of the European Union and contracting states of the European Economic Area. This regulation opens up great opportunities for you as an employer: you do not have to limit your search for suitable temporary workers to the German labour market, where there is a considerable shortage. You can also utilise qualified temporary workers and subcontractors from other European countries. Thanks to our large network in Eastern Europe, we can place electricians, fitters, welders and craftsmen from Poland, The Czech Republic, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.

We provide international temporary staff for a wide range of sectors:

Why hire employees from abroad?

The cross-border Employee leasing offers the advantage that the foreign company remains the legal employer. This means they continue to handle all employer responsibilities, including wage payments, social security contributions, and continued salary payments in case of illness. There is no direct employment relationship between you and the leased employee. Instead, you sign a service agreement with the foreign partner company and only pay for the actual hours worked by the temporary employee.

This form of contract protects you from financial risks such as absences due to illness. It also relieves you of the bureaucratic burden of personnel management: the handling of a temporary employment contract is much easier than if you wanted to employ an Eastern European specialist.

Legal relationships in the case of temporary employment

Between the lender and the temporary worker from abroad an employment contract should be concluded.

As soon as the temporary worker is employed by a hirer, the so-called "equal pay principle" comes into effect. It states that the temporary worker from abroad may work under the same working conditions as a comparable permanent employee of the company in question.

A written temporary employment agreement is concluded between the staffing provider and the client company. Under this agreement, the provider commits to supplying temporary workers, while the client agrees to pay a service fee in return.

The relationship between the hirer and the temporary worker from Eastern Europe is not contractually regulated. However, this does not mean that the hirer has no obligations towards the temporary worker: The hirer is just as responsible for the worker's occupational safety as for its own employees.

Transfer to permanent position

For many temporary workers, temporary employment is the perfect opportunity to get into their dream job. Many employees find their way back into working life in this way. Temporary workers from abroad can also be taken on as permanent employees by the hiring company. There are many advantages for the employee when being taken on from temporary work. The temporary worker is already familiar with the company and no longer has to familiarise themselves with the job. However, it should be noted that the works council often has to agree to a transfer from temporary to permanent employment.

Temporary or agency workers can do a few things to increase their chances of being taken on. They should be punctual, loyal, motivated and, of course, enjoy his or her work.
